Since 1996, a committed group of alumni and friends
at the University of Toronto (Hong Kong) Foundation
have been ensuring that Hong Kong's most outstanding
students have access to a world-class education,
regardless of financial circumstances. With the
generosity of the U of T community in Hong Kong,
the Foundation established a scholarship program
that has now benefited 48 top-level students with
financial need.
In
2006/07, the Foundation celebrated its tenth anniversary
and launched a campaign to increase the value
of the Hong Kong Scholarships to match the increasing
cost of education at the University of Toronto.
Thanks to the commitment and generosity of Foundation
members and friends, the campaign raised over
HK$7 million.
