Our
Mission: Advancing the University's Goals
|
| The
University of Toronto (Hong Kong) Foundation advances
the interests of the University of Toronto and of
Hong Kong by soliciting and receipting donations
for scholarships, enabling students from Hong Kong
with financial need to attend the University of
Toronto. The Foundation focuses on attracting donations
from alumni, friends and parents of students in
Hong Kong. A sub-committee of the Foundation assists
the University in selecting the scholarship recipients. |

| Our
History: Establishing our Roots in Hong Kong |

The
University of Toronto (Hong Kong) Foundation established
its charitable legacy in April 1996 with the inaugural
Foundation Scholarship. Founded by a dedicated group
of University of Toronto friends and alumni in October
1995, the Foundation is a registered charity with
the Hong Kong government and the Inland Revenue
Department. The Honorable Dame Dr. Rosanna Wong
Yick-Ming, JP was the founding Chairman of the Foundation
board. Our current Chair Mrs. Daisy C.F. Ho is the
Managing Director and Chief Finance Officer of Shun
Tak Group Holdings. |
