Save the date: U of T All-Alumni Reception

The Honourable David Peterson, P.C., Q.C., Chancellor of the University of Toronto, and Vice-President David Palmer will travel to China to host receptions for U of T alumni and friends on September 13 in Hong Kong, September 15 in Beijing and September 16 in Shanghai.

UTAA (HK) August Happy Hour

Join fellow alumni and friends at the UTAA (HK) Happy Hour for an evening of fun, free snacks, networking and a game of pool.

UTAA (Korea) Alumni Pub Night

Alumni traveling to Seoul this week are welcome to join the pub night organized by the UTAA (Korea).

Online Auction for PADI Open Water Diving Course

In support of the U of T / UBC Dragonboat Teams, Mandarin Divers has generously donated one PADI Open Water Diving Course, regularly valued at HKD 3750 to be auctioned to the highest bidder.

The online auction will start at 12 noon on August 21 and will end at 5 p.m. on August 31, 2010.

Bidding starts at HKD1000 and bids can be made online. The auction is open to all U of T graduates, family and friends.

The University of Toronto will hold the 8th Asia-Pacific Graduation Ceremony in Hong Kong on Sunday, November 28, 2010. Open to all 2008, 2009 and 2010 graduates, the ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate your success with family and friends. Graduates are permitted to attend both the convocation ceremony in Toronto and the graduation ceremony in Hong Kong.

Date: Sunday, November 28, 2010
Venue: Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong (1 Harbour Road, Wan Chai)

Calling all volunteers:

The Asia-Pacific Graduation Ceremony is the largest activity regularly organized by a Canadian university in Hong Kong, with more than 1000 grads and guests coming from cities across Asia.

Volunteers are needed to help with marshalling, reception and technical support. If you are available to volunteer on Sunday, November 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., please contact Ms. Michelle Poon at the U of T Asia-Pacific Advancement office at tel.
